When I created this work, it was at a time I wanted to capture perfect symmetrical and detail unlike my imperfect impressionist style in majority of my works.

Utilising my learning of typography with a steady hand, it created a work which merges traditional illustration with modern digital layout.

 

It really is the details in something so small that can really take hold of you—like a Monarch to a state.
